What if I have an Employee who wants nothing to do with a Coach/Chaplain?

Even though the majority of employees enjoy a relationship with the company Coach/Chaplain, that certainly doesn’t speak for everyone. The Coach/Chaplain will respect the privacy and desire of any employee who really doesn’t want to build a relationship with him/her.  As a result the Coach/Chaplain will not force himself/herself on any employee.

Doesn’t the Coach/Chaplain’s brief visits with employees sometimes interfere with their work?

The Coach/Chaplain is very sensitive to the work the employees are supposed to be doing, so at no time will the Coach/Chaplain interrupt an employee while they are on the phone or in the middle of doing something.  Since the Coach/Chaplain will be onsite for several hours, the employees often will get to see him/her while on break or briefly in between what they are doing.

Is there anything the TFR Coach/Chaplain will NOT do?  He/She will not . . .

  • Interfere with the employee work process.
  • Force a conversation or a relationship with an employee.
  • Report to management regarding employee work habits.
  • Break confidentiality of discussions with employees.
  • Promote a particular religious group or church.
  • Preach or proselytize.

Are TFR Coaches/Chaplains Affiliated with any Religious Group?

Tampa Family Resources, Inc. is a inter-faith, 501C3 charitable organization, therefore our Coaches/Chaplains do not promote any particular denomination or religious group, but cares for every employee.  Each person’s religious beliefs will be respected.

How will the TFR Coach/Chaplain interact with the Management team of my company?

Your managers will find the Coach/Chaplain to be an effective management tool. Dealing with employees’ personal life issues can consume a skilled manager’s time, and he may not feel he is adequately trained to provide advice in most cases. The Coach/Chaplain is a valuable, well-trained resource that your managers can call in to help employees deal with delicate personal situations that employees bring to work from home.

What will having a TFR Coach/Chaplain cost my company?

The cost per contract depends on several factors.  First, the number of employees in the company.  Second, the time the employer wants the Coach/Chaplain to be onsite each week.  Having a Coach/Chaplain onsite weekly and on call 24/7 is just a few dollars per employee per month.

What are the legal risks of bringing a faith-based program into the workplace?

The TFR Coach/Chaplain will operate under the parameters of the “White House Guidelines for Religion in the Federal Workplace,” Click here to see the full article.

It is interesting to note that during more than 60 years of workplace chaplaincy history, no company offering a Chaplaincy Program, nor any chaplain agency, has been the target of litigation concerning chaplain care.
